The Greedy Dog

The Greedy Dog : Once there was a brown dog. His name was Doy. He was a greedy dog - he always wanted everything for himself.

One day, Doy was very hungry. He started looking for food here and there. After some time, he saw a yummy bone. He quickly ran towards the bone and happily picked it up in his mouth. He started walking back to his home to eat it alone.

On his way home, Doy had to cross a river. He had to walk over a bridge to go the other side. As he was walking with his bone in his mouth, Doy looked into the water.

Doy saw a brown dog in the water. He did not realize that the dog in the water was his own reflection. Doy thought that there is another dog in the water and he is holding a bone in his mouth too.

Greedy as he was, Doy thought, " I will scare the dog in the water and take the bone away from him. Then I will have two bones."

Doy looked at the dog in the water and growled. The reflection growled back too. This made Doy very angry. So, he looked at his reflection and barked, "Bow! bow!" The moment he opened his mouth, the bone from his mouth fell into the water.

It was only when the water splashed, did Doy realize that what he saw in the water was not another dog, but his own reflection.

Doy lost his bone and went home very hungry. He decided that he would never be greedy again
